I am a User Experience Architect working out of Los Angeles. I take a holistic approach and have worked across multiple devices; from desktop to mobile, tablet and TV. In addition to research I am advocate of storytelling to describe a user’s experience.
I write requirements in order to map a user’s needs to the needs of a system. My approach is a led by service design thinking, ethnography and contextual analysis. I’ve worked in social research, at a psychiatric hospital and in central government.
As a consequence I take a person-centered approach to problem solving. That means I start with simple questions like; “how will people use a system?” and “how can a system can improve the quality of people’s lives?” I ask these questions within the context of the business and the project’s requirements; User Experience is about the relationships between businesses, people and a system.
I have worked with several agencies including Blitz, Level Studios, Rosetta, TBWA/Chiat Day, Precedent Communications London as well as Whitehall in London and Genex. Clients have included Microsoft Game Studios, Computer Associates, Johnson and Johnson, The British Heart Foundation, COMDATA, Liverpool John Moores University, Anglia Ruskin University, several NHS Health Authorities in the UK, The Welsh Assembly Government, The Financial Services Authority in the UK and The World Federation of Exchanges, The Judicial Appointments Commission, Acura and Ford.
Whilst working in Whitehall I helped government bodies with customer services as well as defining Record Management systems. From there I have helped companies achieve success across many industries from automotive, charity, health, finance, education and gaming to consumer electronics.
I have a wide set of experience and skills that include both cross-platform design work as well as strategy and large scale user research projects.
With Kind Regards,
